Ugly Duckling no more. Once a small Old West cowboy saloon and, later, an intimidating "biker bar", in the little Wine Country village of Creston, the Long Branch has transformed into a new destination for visitors from all over. The small inside bar and dining area is a bit dark but now family friendly. The Old West cowboy spirit remains. Outside there is a large, comfortable shaded patio and garden area for dining, a new performance stage for concerts and a children's play area. The real attraction, however, is the delicious menu of dishes from their new internationally trained chef, their large selection of beers, local wines and mixed drinks. The food is not pretentious but does reflect a chef's touch... Whether a burger, salad or seafood. The desserts aren't bad either. "The Branch" always makes for a delicious, fun and relaxing lunch or dinner.
Drinks are nicely poured with $3 beer happy hour. They are known for their burgers. With shady back seating on Patio there can be live music. Its spacious so groups and families feel welcomed. I always see two wheelers Bike and motorcycle) there at crossroad of Hwy. 41 and SR229.
Really great place all around. The renovation the new owner did turned out amazing. The outdoor patio is spectacular. There is live music on the weekends and even a half pipe for kids to skate or play on. Food is amazing...if you love burgers you have to try theirs!
This place is awesome, great food, great outside patio. Good place for kids. Whenever we have friends in from out of town we always take them here, it is a must visit. The menu is small but it is mighty, the BBQ shrimp are a real winner.
First time I had been there this century. It has changed a fair amount since the last time. While we only stopped for a cocktail, we liked the service and the atmosphere. We will be back.
